Adam D. Babb, OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher) has been inspired by almost two decades of teaching experience in the French Immersion panel of Elementary school in Ontario to include his students and colleagues in the cast and crew of the New Adventure Series Squinton’s Lens.  This collection of 8 novellas follows the antics and hilarity of Superhero Teacher Squinton Wolfe, who engages his students in meaningful learning through unique and effective methods.

The events and names of the characters are loosely based on real-life experiences and people Squinton encounters during his career as a public school teacher in Southern Ontario, Canada.  The Monocle, the first of 8 novellas in the series, was written to engage and inspire young readers in Mr. Babb’s literacy classes in Milton, Ontario Canada where he began his rewarding teaching career in 2005.  He has since taught for seven Ontario School Boards and various private institutions.

The second novella in the series, Dragonia, enters the fantasy world of Squinton Wolfe as he undergoes a series of learning challenges in the Kingdom of Dragonia to earn the illustrious title of Dragon Lord and King of Dragonia. Eli, the Great Dragon, mentors Squinton as he navigates all eight challenges throughout the series.  Twillinger, a giant red squirrel dressed in snappy tuxedos, serves as Squinton’s guide as he learns about the people and creatures of Dragonia and the other 7 realms.
